- Any degree will put you above those applying without a degree. Most departments like a degree in Psychology or criminal justice but your degree is pretty close. Having a knowledge of the workings of community resources would be very helpful to a law enforcement officer. If you're good at working with people and also have knowledge of what to do with say a mentally ill individual this knowledge could prove very valuable. Particularly if nobody else knows what do to with someone. I think your degree will serve you well in a law enforcement career. Sorry, I thought u said you had a four-year degree. Your certificate will certainly help and many departments don't require any thing more than a high school education. You can then work on your degree while working as a police officer.
- Doesn't matter either way...Go sign up for your police academy
- I dunno, but if you want to pursue law enforcement, you need a criminal justice degree or at least some college hours. In every big city, there should be police training courses available to take at your local college.
- YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE A COP IT TURNS YOU IN TO A BAD PERSON REALLY MESS YOU UP GO TO LAW SCHOOL AND BE COME A DEFENCE ATTORNEY AND HELP CORRECT INJUSTICE
